It's readyyyyyyyyyyy XD
My Francaise is ready, FINALLY. Took so long to pattern this ==; since I dress myself (meaning, I have no one to help me put on the dresses xD) I usually never make robes because they are so complicated to wear but I decided to try one for a portfolio I'm making and this is what came out
I made the design for this and for the colour scheme I got inpiration from Milena Canonero's work for the movie "Marie Antoinette" by Sofia Coppola, especially the coronation one 24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m0w…
Note: I used about 1/4 of the fabric you would usually use a Francaise, so as you can see the back flows in an unnatural way. Humor me. I just didn't want to spend too much for the fabric
I wanted a beautiful fabric for the robe but that meant to spend too much for the minimum 15mt...so I bought 1.5mt of an interior design shangthung 3mt in height and make what I could with 4.5mt 
I'm rather satisfied even if the back is not the best^^ one day I will have enough money to buy all the fabric needed XD
The skirt is made with plain interior design silk
The ruffles are made of colour-changing voile that I had XD I originally used it for a dress for a wedding I attended. Those are box pleats sewn in the center
My small happiness for this dress was making the stomacher
I love stomachers this one is at the moment fully detachable, but I might decide to change it after the first time I'll wear it. I have at the moment no idea of how long it will take to sew it on myself XD it was easy with the mannequin, but I suppose it's going to take a life on myself XD
The stomcher is decorated with a rose pattern I made with rose decorations, thorn-looking metal decorations and random pearls the paillettes flower in the center is matching with the rose+flower decorations of the skirt of the robe
The flounces of the arms are made with remaining fabric for the fisciu of my Chemise XD cheers for remaining fabric!! XD
Total working hours: 70/75. I started hating it but in the end I think I want to make another one XD
