This was my outfit for this year's Romantic Remembrance Gala held in San Pellegrino Terme last May it's hosted by the very talented girls of Old Souls www.oldsouls.it/, it's an amazing event and if you live close by and love historical events I highly suggest you join us next year 
2015's theme was "Oceans of Time", so there wasn't a definite era with the only restriction that the dresses must be made of dark colours
As I'm comfy with ballgowns, I went for a Mid victorian style but as you can see I did it my way xD I love historical replicas but I prefer to make my dresses slightly more original xD
The dress is made of skirt+bodice and a detachable bertha (to allow for easy dancing xD); the skirt is made of one base layer of embroidered black cotton and 4 layers of black tulle with gold embroideries sewn on the most internal tulle layer, the overskirt is an embroidered gold tulle gathered to create the "puffy" effect
The bodice is a simple corset cut without bones to be worn over my victorian corset
I made a rather complicated necklace to go with it, I will upload it separately XD
I had a blast at the Gala wearing this dress but...I did look rather awful in it xD meaning, I'm built on the big side, so large shoulders + EXTREMELY top heavy, puffy skirt is not the best combination. No no nononononono.
So well, this dress doesn't exist anymore in this shape xD I have now removed the golden part from the skirt and changed the bodice to have it become something completely different XD I'll show you once ready
