Princess Flareon - gijinka Pokemon eeveelution

It's been quite some time since I last posted something new!! Sorry for the long absence but work got a bit crazy and I was shipped to the other side of the world XD I have quite a number of new things to upload though, I'm really excited to show them to you all!

Soooo, this design came to me in a rush when I saw the fabric XD I'll let you know that I used to be a HUGE Pokemon fan when I was a kid, and my parents still remember that I wanted to be a Flareon growing up. It took 20 years but I finally managed to be one!! YEEEY!! XD
So while fabric shopping in Hong Kong I saw this AMAZING brick red shangtung silk next to an aurora borale orange organza, and it was love at first sight I went back home, sketched what my idea of a humanized flareon would be, and went back the next day to but the fabric I also found this perfect blonde-beige long fake fur that matched perfectly, I was super happy
Horror story. I made this dress in 2.5 days. No jokes. I REALLY wanted to take it to Lucca Comics 2016 with me and I had 2 and half days left before the con. Guess who didn't sleep at night (=__

This ballgown is made of a georgian cut, fully boned bodice made with schangtung and fireball-shaped sleeves in aurora boreale organza; the sleeves are burned (yes, literally XD) to achive a flame shape the hem of the corset is doubled with red bias silk and all the pointed parts are topped with Fireopal 237 Swarovski crystals
The skirt is a two-parts-one-piace full circle in shangtung and organza; the organza overlayer is burned and not hemmed to achieve a moving shape, whilst the main skirt is hemmed with red and silver lace trim with red perals. On both the skirt and overskirt are around 100 Firopal and Siam 208 Swarovski to give light while moving they don't show on pictures. Like...never. But I see them and I love them XXDD
The belt/tail is made with fake fur, the beslt is reinforced with heavy duty collar fabric to substain the weight of the tail
The lenght allows for the underskirt to show for extra shading, but it works on me and not on the mannequin. Hahahaha. Haha. Ha.
I also made the choker and necklace. The choker is a base of skin-tone tulle with Fireopal, Siam, AB Crystal and Sun 248 Swarovski, whilst the necklace is made of a single Fireopal Swarovski element

All in all, the ears were the hardest part, seriously. I've never made an accessory like this and it took almost 4 hourst to figure out how to cover the bunny ears I had. I'm pretty happy with the result, but they do look a bit floppy to me. I'll need to work on them again at some point :I
